Conference "Church Affecting Society"
October 24 - 27, 2019 in St. Petersburg, a conference will be held with the theme: “The Church Affecting Society”, which is dedicated to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the prominent public and religious figure, the Gospel minister Ivan Prokhanov . The conference is being organized by the Russian UECB
The theme of the conference is based on the words of Jesus Christ: “So, let your light shine before men” (Matthew 5:16). Highlighting: Church Awareness of responsibility to local society, the secret of success in influencing church society, What needs to be changed?, What is the responsibility of every Christian? The meaning of unity, and other relevant issues will be the topic of our reflection.
Conference Speakers:
- Victor Ryaguzov - "The Inner Strength of the Church" (The church’s secret of the strength)
- Leonid Mikhovich - "The Mission of the Church" (How the church serves society)
- Victor Levashov - "The Christian before God" (The spiritual state of the Christian and his ability to fulfill the will of God)
- Evgeny Bakhmutsky - "The Christian Before Society" (Christian's responsibility to people around him)
The conference program will not only be filled with sermons and seminars, but also excursions to the gospel places of St. Petersburg, round table discussions and other formats of communication and interaction for participants with each other and society.
