Pastoral/Youth Retreat for Moscow Baptist Church leaders
On March 14, 2020, a pastoral and youth retreat for the ECB churches organized by the Moscow Association of ECB Churches (MOC). It took place in the town of Oparino near Moscow.
About 40 ministers from 9 Moscow communities gathered for fellowship and mutual edification. Theme of the retreat: "The Identity of Evangelical Baptists." Speakers at the event were:
- Anatoly Vdovenko - “Life with the gospel in the center: Gospel identity ”;
- Felix Voloshin - “Trends and Modern influences ”;
- Eugene Bakhmutsky - “The Perspective of the Gospel Community”.
After each message, thematic discussions took place, which were led by: Viktor Zubarev, Vladislav Treskin and Sergey Lunev.
Similar meetings have already become a regular occurance. They attract pastors and youth ministers with the opportunity to combine getting a new spiritual experience with a brief break from the bustle of the big city.
