Equipped for Ministry

On the recent graduation at the UECB Training Center for the Tambov/ Lipetsk regions.

For fifteen years, this Training Center has been preparing ministers and servants, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills for pastoral and missionary service.

The graduates have passed more than twenty different subjects during their three-year period of study. Study sessions are planned in such a way that students do not break away from active work in local churches and do not lose civilian work or study in secular educational institutions.

The center trains representatives of every generation, which creates a warm, favorable, yet lively atmosphere for the development of mutual understanding and the preservation of spiritual continuity.

Presenting the certificates, Anatoly Alipichev, the Tambov regional Pastor noted that many graduates intend to continue their education in theological educational institutions of a higher level.

“I would like to go on to seminary,” said graduate Gennady Tochilov.  “In studying here, a thirst for knowledge awakened in me. I really enjoyed studying here, and I realized the need for constant study.” Gennady has been serving as a coordinator opening and developing social assistance centers for a long time. In his specific work, it is impossible without serious spiritual preparation.

“You must be an example of Christ in your life and ministry,” admonished associate regional pastor, Anatoly Yarmolyuk to the graduates.  “Do not be proud and do not look from the heights of your acquired knowledge toward the saints in your charge. Always remain humble toward everyone including other brothers and sisters.”

This joyous graduation ceremony ended with a prayer of blessing from different Tambov and Lipetsk pastors.
