UECB Leadership Declares 2021 the year of Evangelism!

Christ brought the Good News to earth. His life was a daily gospel. He taught His disciples and instructed them to preach and spread the Good News to all nations. Since the days of the apostles, evangelism in the Church has become one of the main ministries. The apostle Paul wrote: “This is my necessary duty, and woe is me if I do not preach the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:16).

The world needs the gospel! F.M. Dostoevsky wrote: "Death to a man without the Word of God, for the soul longs for this word and for all beautiful perception ..." And, as if echoing these words, the words of the Russian writer N.S. Leskova: "Russia was baptized, but not enlightened."

Evangelism is a powerful stream of divine truth and power. This is the disclosure of the truth about God, about man, about the past, present and future. Evangelism has the power not only to give truthful information, but to awaken hearts to new life, to perform the most important acts, followed by the acceptance of Christ as our Savior and Lord of life!

The churches of the Russian Baptist Denomination have developed evangelism in all types of their ministry. The gospel message is directed to our entire multinational people, to all ages. Regardless of the established cultural traditions and characteristics of the life foundations of certain peoples. The good news makes everything beautiful, brings greater beauty, and error and opposition to God leaves!

There are many methods and ways of spreading the Good News. Every Christian is called to evangelism. Anyone who has received the joy of salvation and God's adoption cannot but share this joy with those who do not have it!

So we will make every effort and labor so that this year is not just called the Year of Evangelism, but is marked by our common activity in this God-commanded ministry. Let us pray for God's blessing and great participation in our evangelism ministry, so that the words from the book of Acts of the Apostles will be repeated: “The Lord added to the church those who were being saved daily!” (Acts 2:47)
