Music Festival in Surgut

The conference was moderated by Viktor Kubata, who also leads the orchestra and worship team from Surgut. A worship team from Khanty-Mansiysk also participated.
The conference brought together singers and musicians from Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk, Nizhnevartovsk, Novy Urengoy, Noyabrsk, and churches from other cities in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Yugra) and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug—more than 100 singers and musicians in total.

On the first day, Kirill Goncharenko, head of the Russian UECB music department, Director of the Institute of Sacred Music (ISM), and Master of Practical Theology, and Vladimir Popov, Master of Theology, historian, and writer, led four sessions on this topic.

🎹 K.E. Goncharenko also conducted a vocal master class and a rehearsal master class for the combined choir of churches from Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk, and Noyabrsk.
The Surgut choir, conducted by V.N. Makarova, and the Noyabrsk choir, conducted by M.A. Teleus, performed during the conference.

📆 The next day, March 29, at the Sunday service, a combined choir sang, worship groups performed, and solo singing was heard… V.A. Popov and K.E. Goncharenko preached.

🎤 After the service, the guests from Moscow held a press conference for the Surgut choir and took part in a youth ministry, delivering instructions to the younger generation.

This conference was a great encouragement to the musicians and choirs of the North Ural region. Goncharenko and Popov humbly expressed their professionalism, experience, spirituality, and love for their ministry! It was also confirmed that our brotherhood’s music department sincerely and expertly assists the Regional Associations of UECB in developing worship teams, choral ministries, and other forms of musical ministry, recognizing the need for them in churches.
