On February 20–22, 2026, UECB VP Viktor Ignatenkov visited the city of Salekhard in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
Church ministers in Yamal annually organize joint fellowships, conferences, and seminars. Despite difficult winter roads, they visit each other and make such efforts to keep encouraged, led by Senior Pastor Denis Glebov. And Ignatenkov is a frequent and welcome guest here.
On Saturday, a men’s meeting was held to fellowship with V.V. Ignatenkov. Such meetings always bring joy, spiritual guidance, encouragement, and broaden one’s horizons in pastoral ministry. That evening, Viktor Vladimirovich, along with Denis Glebov and other brothers, visited the neighboring town of Labytnangi, located on the other bank of the Ob River. There is also an Evangelical Christian Baptist church there. Local believers gathered for an extraordinary service to celebrate the guests’ arrival.
On Sunday, February 22, a celebratory service was held at the Salekhard church. That day, two brothers were ordained: Oleg Puchko to the pastorate and Yuri Purtov to the deaconate. The addition of new church ministers is always a joy for all believers and a celebration within the church. That evening, the congregation gathered again in the prayer house to continue their edifying fellowship.
In Yamal, not only the church in Salekhard was replenished with new ministers; a week earlier, in the church in the city of Tarko-Sale, Sergei Mikhovich was ordained to the pastorate and Sergei Vasiliev to the deaconate.
