Men’s Prayer Meeting in Moscow
On January 15, 2021, in the UECB Church "Transfiguration in Christ" a men’s prayer gathering took place. About 30 people gathered to give thanks, present requests, and praise to the Almighty God.
The welcome and opening remarks was made by the Moscow Region Head pastor, Mikhail Chekalin. The leading of the prayer time was continued by Roman Shempel, who suggested three avenues of prayer:
- Prayer for yourself, for each man to have understanding the will of God.
- A prayer for the family, for the special role of the husband in building the family.
- Prayer for work and ministry, for the glorification of God through creative work in society.
Also, during the prayer meeting, Sergey Lunyov, the youth leader of the Moscow Central Church, missionary Andrey Dzyuba, and pastor Sergei Smagin spoke to encourage and direct everyone’s hearts to the Word of God as it related to the prayer topic.
Everyone present at the prayer meeting could probably repeat the words of the psalmist, King David: "How nice and pleasant it is for brothers to be together." You could definitely feel the unity of the Spirit which binds all believers together. May God bless and answer all the prayers offered up to our Wonderful Lord!
