Youth Conference of the Russian Southern Region - and other recaps
On May 8, 2021, in the church of the city of Stavropol, a regional youth conference was held called "Shining the True Light" (... because the darkness passes and the true light is already shining. 1 John 2:8).
At the beginning of his talk, Anatoly Dyakov, a pastor from Pyatigorsk, noted that when a Christian does not reflect the light of Christ, he is like a driver without his car lights on when it’s night, putting himself and others in great danger. In the sermon of Anatoly Solovyov from the village of Kuzhorskaya, it was said that after the union with the light of God, a daily walk begins in this light, the result of which is the likeness of Christ. Personal examples from the life of the preachers helped to better understand the truths of Scripture, and at the end of the time, local pastor Vasily Kalmykov advised young people to always walk in the light of God and figuratively, not to cover their faces with a veil, hiding the heavenly light. Together with the instruments, the combined youth choir of the region glorified God in worshipful singing.

On April 17-18, 2021, a leadership summit was held in Maikop to inspire participants to serve, provide resources, teach them how to apply them and generally support those who serve so faithfully in their areas of the southern Russian region.

"What are you living for?" was the title of the gathering at the church in Grozny on February 27, 2021. In his seminar, pastor Vitaly Tulyakov spoke about what habits Christ's disciples should have and their positive effect on others. Further interesting topics for the brothers were led by Zhan Rassokhin and pastor Ruvim Voloshin. Summing up the main points of the day: What lays hold of our hearts tell us much about how we will spend our time, money, thoughts, actions, etc... It was a great blessing to be here. It is noteworthy that very soon, the local church will celebrate its anniversary.

On February 13, 2021, the youth of the southern region gathered in the city of Georgievsk for a conference named “Whom Shall I Send?” from Isaiah 6:8 "And I heard the voice of the Lord saying: who should I send? And who will go for Us? And I said: here I am, send me." Ruvim Voloshin spoke about how to be ready to answer this call, because many hear what the Lord calls for, but not all answer His call. An active participant in many short-term missionary trips, Rodion Vladimirov from Krasnodar and Konstantin Krivosheenko from Georgievsk spoke about where they took part and how today you can participate in evangelism in various regions and countries.
Thanks be to the Lord for such meetings, for the opportunity to glorify Him, learn more the truths of God's Word, and put them into practice. Finally, we recall the words of the wise Solomon: "... with the righteous He has fellowship." (Proverbs 3:32).
