Conference for Children and Teen Ministers

From October 1-2, 2021, the Conference for Children and Teen Ministers was held at UECB Golgotha Church in Moscow.

This conference has become a long-awaited and large-scale event, due to the fact that it has been a long time since it was possible for ministers to gather from all over Russia. The geography of the participants included major cities of Russia: Nizhny Novgorod, Pyatigorsk, Tula, Novy Urengoy, Ufa, Belgorod, Kazan and many others. Over two days, more than 200 participants had the opportunity to attend seminars, master classes, round tables and lectures, where they exchanged experiences and acquired valuable teaching and counseling skills. The rich program of the conference was prepared by the UECB and Moscow Bible Seminary team for children and young people, which included a wide range of topics and tools for organizing these ministries.

  • How to write a Sunday School curriculum ?
  • What is the role of music in children's ministry ?
  • How to conduct prayer in the family setting ?
  • How does the inductive Bible study method work in Sunday School ?
  • What mentoring tools to use in youth ministry ?
  • What are the characteristics of teaching different age groups ?

These are just a few of the topics that were offered to the participants in order to equip them with the knowledge and tools for a more productive study of God's Word. During the breaks between the seminars, the conference participants had the opportunity to visit the ministry fair, the stands of which were represented by the following missions: “Russian Teachers' Movement”, “From Generation to Generation”, “Wycliffe”, “Super Book”, “Institute of Ministry by Instruction”, “VO Schools” and also “Moscow Theological Seminary”. Educational literature was provided at these stands, and everyone could ask questions of interest about the work of these missions and learn more about their programs. Many participants noted the relevance of the information received, as well as the work and dedication of the entire organizing team and speakers.

“… We got more than we expected, and it was very rich. I hope not only to remember, to listen, but also to live according to the information that we have been wonderfully taught. "

May the Lord abundantly bless all ministers and give wisdom to always be ready to learn new things in order to reach the hearts of adolescents and youth. See you at the next conference!
