In connection with the aggravated situation on the territory of Ukraine, we call on all the churches of the Russian Union of Evangelical Christian Baptists to intensify your prayers for the speedy restoration of a peaceful life. The people of God are called to be peacemakers and bring brotherly love, as it is written, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Matt. 5:9).
We invite you to unite in prayer:
1. For God's peace on earth and in hearts, about complete hope and trust in God about everything.
2. For God's will on important decisions for which many people’s fate depends.
3. For a peaceful resolution to the conflict and the soonest retraction of hostilities on Ukraine’s territory.
4. For the preservation of Christian’s lives and the well-being of their families, as well as for the protection of the general population of the territories that found themselves in the combat zone.
We call on churches to show feelings of mercy by providing humanitarian aid and any other assistance, to all those in need.
Also, we invite the churches of the Russian UECB to pray for peace with fasting at the February 27th Sunday service.
