The very title of the evening “From the Manger to the Cross” indicated its program, dedicated to Christ, his birth and defeat of death on the cross. It was not for nothing that so many listeners gathered for the concert (there were not enough seats for the huge crowd of people). The musical festival was held at the highest professional level and with a rich and varied program presented to the guests. Soloists Victor and Galina Mendelev (tenor, mezzo-soprano) of Minsk, Pavel Arinin (trumpet) of Moscow and other soloists of the choir were a real delight to the whole program. Another addition in spirit was the organ solo performed by Alexander Udaltsov.
The pastor of the church Evgeny Voronin, used interesting examples from Russian classical literature, addressing the non-Christian guests, who numbered several hundred, calling them to faith in Christ.
Musical director and conductor Ivan Romanenko was able to assemble and prepare an orchestra that truly became the personification of the true unity of the gospel brotherhood: brothers and sisters in Christ from many cities - Kazan, Moscow, Orel, Kursk, Belgorod, St. Petersburg, Minsk, Brest, Kaluga, Bryansk. Such a combination of toward one goal, one hope and effort, can really serve as an example of unity. Only together, regardless of goals, can high results be achieved for the glory of the Lord and for the good of building local churches.
