Ryazan Women’s Conference

On Saturday, January 20, 2024, the UECB ladies of the Ryazan region gathered for a conference on the topic: “We bring the love of Christ to people!” In all, 48 sisters attended the conference.

“Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; Be always ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you with gentleness and reverence.”

1 Peter 3:15 .

The topic of personal evangelism was discussed by Elena Boretskaya from the Nizhny Novgorod region. Elena had previously taken part in women's fellowships in the Ryazan region, and was also a teacher at the sister training center (Bible Institute) for several years.

The ladies also discussed and determined the purpose and meaning of a Christian woman's life with Christ. Of course, our goal is to be conformed to His image, to be like Him in purity and holiness, without it, it is impossible to see God. He is our standard! “Christ is my life” Philippians 1:21.

And if the goal of our life is spiritual growth, then the desire to bring the love of Christ to other people will come from the very depths of the heart of a Christian woman.

We asked ourselves seven important questions and gave answers to them:

  • Am I committing any sin that I know of?
  • Am I living in obedience to God's will?
  • Do I spend time in daily prayer?
  • Am I diligently studying the Word of God?
  • Do I confess Christ publicly?
  • Do I give generously as the Lord enriches me?
  • Am I doing anything specific for the Lord?

True faith involves not only words, but also actions, so every believer should participate in evangelism and make new disciples for Christ. The sisters generously shared their spiritual and practical experience in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” (Matthew 28:19a-20).

Evangelism is not a grueling chore, but an honorable delight and a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord and the expansion of His Kingdom on earth. As we preach the gospel, let us remember God's great love, what it felt like when we found Christ, and what it will mean to others when they believe in Him. Each of us should be able to tell an unbeliever the main points of the Gospel and give answers to questions that arise.

  • All people are sinners and lost toward God, without hope (Rom.3:23)
  • God loved us so much “that He gave His only begotten Son” for our salvation. John 3:16
  • Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead (Rom.5:8, Phil.2:8-11)
  • Christ wants to come into every person's life (Gal.2:20)
  • Man is saved by grace through faith (Eph.2:8-9)

Our motto: If Christ, being God, died for me, then there is nothing that I would not do for Him!

Communicate Christ simply and clearly. Remember that you are helping people find happiness! However, evangelism is not always easy. It requires preparation and courage!

We discussed just some of the difficulties that modern Christian women face in sharing the Gospel with their lives and words. How to respond correctly to people's answers? What success do we have in evangelism? What else is worth learning?

We prayed to the Lord to forgive us for our selfish, self-centered, self-centered lives and to help us remove all the barriers that hinder our evangelism.

Prayer for Evangelism:

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER! I STAND BEFORE YOU.

I ENSURE MYSELF IN YOUR HANDS - USE ME AS YOU PLEASE.

I COMPLETELY AND UNCONDITIONALLY SUBMIT MYSELF TO JESUS CHRIST AND ACKNOWLEDGE HIS LORDSHIP IN MY LIFE.

I WANT TO BE THE WOMAN THAT PEOPLE SEE YOUR LOVE AND FORGIVENESS IN CHRIST

I ASK YOU: CLEANSE ME, GIVE ME STRENGTH AND COURAGE, GUIDE, ENCOURAGE AND EDUCATE ME IN THIS MINISTRY.

HELP ME TO GIVE HONOR AND GLORY TO YOUR NAME WITH MY WHOLE LIFE.

HELP ME, BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION WITHOUT LOSING STRENGTH, TIME AND MEANS.

I ASK ALL OF THIS IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND TO INCREASE YOUR GLORY. AMEN!

Participants actively shared their testimonies. In their feedback, the sisters noted the importance and relevance of the topic of personal evangelism and that the communication was edifying, inspiring and motivating to evangelism. The Holy Spirit worked in the hearts of the sisters!

“I received encouragement and motivation to action, so that my lips would not stop telling this perishing world about our Savior!” (Natalia Voronina, Novomichurinsk).

Each participant in our fellowship could not only be a listener, but also took an active part in discussions and group work. Sister Elena Vladimirovna became a dear guest for the sisters of Ryazan and that region.

May prayer and evangelism become an integral part of our lives!
