Uzbekistan Youth Conference

March 21-23, 2024, the Uzbekistan annual youth conference was held in Tashkent, which brought together young people from all the UECB churches of Uzbekistan, and a group of young Christians from Kazakhstan also arrived.

In total, about 250 people took part in the conference. The words of Christ were taken as the motto for the forum: “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6). The conference was held in at Bethel - House of God UECB Church, whose pastor is Rinat Khaibulin, who opened the conference with a welcoming speech.

Victor Ignatenkov, Russian UECB VP was invited to attend, which is already his second visit to Uzbekistan over the past four months, which indicates a practical kindred spirit between the two unions for closer interaction and joint service.

The conference took place in an atmosphere of joy. Pleasant meetings, new acquaintances, fellowship, testimonies, edification, harmonious singing - all this filled the conference time for three days. The program turned out to be very relevant for today’s young people. Expanding the main theme of the conference, experienced ministers spoke:

  • “I am” (Ruslan Nikolaev),
  • “Youth and Opportunities” (Aslan Eminov),
  • “Jesus is the Way” (Viktor Ignatenkov),
  • “Jesus is the Truth” (Evgeniy Dusheba),
  • “Lies, cunning” (Pavel Yangiyul),
  • “Jesus is Life” (Pavel Peychev).

In addition, pastors Galym from Kazakhstan and Oleg Sherstyukov from Fergana delivered edifying sermons. The conference program was also enriched with seminars on the following topics:

  • my life and profession,
  • my life and ministry,
  • love and relationships,
  • my life in church,
  • my life and gospel,
  • my life and the danger of apathy,
  • my life and priorities.

For the conference participants, the meaning of Christ’s words: “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life” became more clear. Everyone, by carefully examining themselves, could check to what extent the words of Christ are embodied in their life and make a decision to renew their relationship with Christ. At the end of the conference, after Pavel Peychev’s sermon, many young boys and girls came out to pray for repentance or renew their relationship with God. The conference became a celebration for Christian youth in Uzbekistan.

On Sunday, March 24, guests from other cities who remained in the city after the conference, took part in the services of churches in Tashkent. Victor Ignatenkov, together with Peter Pennor, a guest from Austria, took part in the worship service of the Bethel - House of God church. After the service, Ignatenkov and Pennor became acquainted with the history of the church and the former educational center that operated on this church. Local brothers have a great desire to resume the process of spiritual education in the Union of Evangelical Christian Baptists of Uzbekistan.

The conversation continued at the dinner table with good brotherly conversation and joint prayer. Everyone was encouraged by the time together. Praise God for his family of believers
