UECB Theological Society Meeting
On December 6, 2024, the next meeting of the UECB Theological Society will take place at the Moscow Theological Seminary. This time, the topic of the meeting is: "Personal theological views in the context of the church community."
Doctrinal and theological differences of opinion have been quite acute in the Russian Baptist circles for several decades now. The influence of foreign theological views and the development of domestic theological education, which began at the end of the 20th century, along with the development of the Christian book industry, gave rise to more theological disagreement in our midst on an unprecedented scale. More biblical information became available and even unbiblical works made their way into our churches unsuspectingly.
It is no secret that in almost every church community there are people with differing personal theological views. At the same time, we are faced with the difficult task of preserving and strengthening church unity and confessional identity. What to do? It seems that we have something to discuss and try to understand on this topic.
