The celebration was attended by Viktor Ignatenkov, VP of the Russian UECB, along with representatives from churches in the Kostroma, Yaroslavl, and Ivanovo regions.
Such celebrations are a wonderful occasion for blessed inter-church fellowship. On this day in Kostroma, not only pastors but also young people from various churches, close friends, and relatives gathered. People of all ages united as one spiritual family in joy and a festive atmosphere.
The worship service lasted three hours, but no one grew tired, and time flew by unnoticed. The lead church pastor and regional pastor for the Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions, Sergey Didovets, briefly shared the history of the Kostroma church. He recalled those who served as pastors during difficult times, who fully trusted God and were under His protection, and who led the church, leaving good examples for future generations to follow. A moving moment was the prayer of thanksgiving for two elderly men who had served diligently in this church since childhood, were continuing their father's pastoral work.
Greetings and musical performances filled the air. The local church choir, with its harmonious singing, added a special solemnity to the celebratory service. Edifying sermons were delivered by Stanislav Petrash, UECB Senior Pastor of the the Ivanovo and Vladimir regions, and Viktor Ignatenkov. After the service, fellowship continued over a celebratory dinner, with tables set up in the church's large hall.
After dinner, a meeting took place between the ministers gathered that day at the Kostroma church and Ignatenkov, who answered many questions concerning the life and ministry of the Russian UECB. They discussed challenges pastors face in their ministry and explored the possibility of conducting various training seminars in the Kostroma and neighboring regions.
In the afternoon, Viktor Vladimirovich held a meeting with the youth from the Kostroma and Yaroslavl churches. The meeting was moderated by Mikhail Rozvodovsky. The youth received much valuable advice and pastoral guidance.
The Kostroma church is grateful to God for the pleasant emotions and blessings received on this celebratory day!
