Throughout the week, participants received intensive training in three key areas of ministry: media, event organization, and evangelism. The goal was to equip youth with practical skills and spiritual insight that they can apply both in their local church ministries and in the broader work of the Youth Department of the Russian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists (RUECB).
Teaching sessions were led by experienced ministers and leaders such as Sergey Meleshko, Vitaly Zanin, Nadezhda Safonova, and other guest speakers from various churches across the country. These sessions offered not only technical knowledge but also spiritual encouragement and biblical grounding.
At the end of the week, participants were challenged to put their training into practice through a final project—planning and executing a real evangelistic outreach event, MoscowFest, which took place on August 16 at Skynia Hall. This event welcomed both Christian youth and many unchurched visitors, who heard the Good News of Jesus Christ through preaching, music, and personal conversations with the City Camp students.
On August 17, the camp concluded with a graduation ceremony, where participants were awarded certificates of course completion. According to the students, the week was not only deeply valuable for their personal and spiritual growth, but also gave them fresh vision and tools for effective church ministry.
Sergey Meleshko shared:
“This is the third year we've organized City Camp because we see a real need in our churches for trained leaders in media, event planning, and evangelism. Young people are eager to learn and grow in these areas, and our goal is to give them a platform where they can receive relevant content, share experiences, and build lasting ministry partnerships.
We also strive to make the week not only educational but truly unforgettable—balancing study with meaningful fellowship and recreation.
At the end of the week, participants are required to carry out a practical project: to plan, promote, and host a real evangelistic event.
We believe that City Camp is not only a powerful launching pad for each participant’s personal ministry, but also our shared investment in the advancement of the Gospel across our nation!”
