Set along the scenic shore of Butakovsky Bay, the festival offered a variety of zones and activities:
The music and celebratory atmosphere attracted not only believers from various evangelical churches but also local residents from nearby neighborhoods and passersby enjoying a walk along the waterfront. For these guests, the church had prepared free Bibles, and many were touched by their conversations with church volunteers. A number of them shared their surprise and joy at the warmth and sincerity of the Christians they met. Some expressed a desire to visit the church in the future. These individuals are now being lifted up in special prayer.
The Free Radio Picnic was a beautiful example of teamwork in ministry. The team from Free Radio handled much of the event’s organization and coordination, while dozens of volunteers from both the Khimki church and other evangelical congregations served selflessly across all areas of the festival. Whether supporting their assigned areas or jumping in to help wherever needed, they truly demonstrated the unity and servant-heartedness that marks the Body of Christ.
Free Radio, operates out of the Khimki church. This ministry includes believers from Khimki and surrounding churches, and runs entirely on listener-supported donations. Free Radio broadcasts the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Russian through online streaming, reaching audiences around the world.
We continue to pray that God's Word will go forth in power, and that the hearts of His people will remain open to go, serve, and share the Gospel wherever He leads.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
— Matthew 28:19 (NRV)
