Raising up Leaders - Pastors’ Conference in Krasnoyarsk

From November 19 to 22, 2025, a pastors' conference was held in Krasnoyarsk Krai at a retreat center, among the picturesque hills of the Siberian taiga, on the banks of the Mana River.

The conference theme was "Raising Up Leaders for Christ." Approximately 60 people, including pastors, deacons, and other senior church ministers, gathered from across the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The keynote speakers were Viktor Ignatenkov, VP of the Baptist UECB, and Sergei Naboychenko, Pastoral Dept. leader of UECB. Over the course of four days, all participants enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere of brotherly fellowship, combining the relaxation that all ministers need with useful lessons related to the practice of pastoral ministry.

Naboychenko taught the program "Seven Steps of Discipleship," which is useful and necessary for anyone who is called and wants to be a successful leader and mentor to young up and coming believers committed to serving God.

In his speeches, Ignatenkov revealed the secrets and essence of true fatherhood in the church. He also illuminated the meaning and purpose of Sunday services, as well as ways to achieve them. He described the process of preparing a person for ministry and how God brings them to this readiness.

Each evening the brothers continued their free-form fellowship, discussing various issues and problems that all ministers have to face at this time.

On Sunday, November 23, the speakers visited two Krasnoyarsk Evangelical Christians-Baptists churches. Viktor participated in a service at the "Grace" Church, and Sergei at the "Salvation" Church. The ministers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory repeatedly expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of the Russian UECB for visiting their region of Siberia.
