The concert featured a combined choir from Kursk and Bryansk, along with the United Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists (RSEB) under the direction of Timofey Malov. Traditional Christmas carols were performed that evening. The soloists, soprano Iris Pryadko and tenor Ivan Yatsko from Moscow, were particularly warmly received, as was the cello solo performed by Sofia Tamurkina from Kazan.
The concert's theme, "Come to the Child," called on all present to see in the newborn child the incarnate God, who came into the world to save humanity. This theme was fully explored in the sermon of Pastor Leonid Mikhovich, a guest from Belarus. That evening, the church's prayer house was overflowing with listeners, many of whom were attending for the first time.
The performance of the hymn "Silent Night" with the audience left an unforgettable impression. It is hoped that attending this concert will become an important step for some on the path to meeting Jesus as their personal Savior.
