The seminar was organized by local minister Andrei Dzyuba, and Kirill Goncharenko, head of the music department of the Russian Baptist Union (UECB), also participated. The seminar focused on the personal and spiritual qualities of a music minister.
Andrey Dzyuba spoke about the heart of a minister and the spiritual component of their character, and Kirill Goncharenko shared his thoughts on the theological principles of music ministry, emphasizing that "Music should make you have to think." He also discussed the four components of success in ministry, which the minister must possess: Calling, Character, Competence, and Culture.
The last major conference featuring Kirill Goncharenko and Vladimir Popov took place in Tula a year ago, in December 2024. Since then, two choral groups have emerged in the city, in addition to the existing worship groups. Previously, there were no choirs in Tula city or the surrounding region.
The seminar included time for questions and answers, as well as a vocal section. One music leader lamented the difficulties of her ministry and expressed her desire to leave it. After the seminar and discussion of various issues, the sister announced her decision to not abandon her ministry, and thanked the seminar organizers for the meeting. Such meetings generate great interest, and their spiritual and practical benefits are obvious.
