Bike trip – August 2 – Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky

The Expedition left the Republic of Buriatia and headed for Chita region. It means another one time zone plus from Moscow – one hour forward. The road is still full of climbs and downs as we travel through the Sayan Mountains. Bikers get tired but they overcome weariness and even after long distances they continue to smile and rejoice at the results of their ministry. Once during our trip we met a big herd of cows. Only skilful actions of the cowboy helped us to resume our way very quickly.

We will remember this part of the way by many punctures of the wheels. We had to stop 8 times to put new wheels. It provided bikers with some rest and they restored their strength and helped us to cover a difficult part of the road.

Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky is an ancient town, well-known because of the Decembrists who were sent there to exile. Many houses in the town exist till then. A few years ago the church «Resurrection» began to have worship services in one of such houses. We took part in the worship service there devoted to the meeting with the bike Expedition. Besides church members new people came there for the first time. A correspondent of the local newspaper came there to make a short report about the Expedition but stayed all service long.

Levon Sarkisov shared his testimony, how God called him to serve as an evangelist. At first he planned to be with the Expedition as a doctor. But when he joined the Expedition he became a driver, and then began to wheel with other bikers. Besides he tells people, who has not yet received God, about his faith. And he always talks to many people who come to evangelistic services.
